The GR (Gazoo Racing) Yaris is a performance-oriented variant of the Yaris, built as a homologation model for the FIA World Rally Championship, Toyota needed to produce 25,000 units or more in a continuous 12-month production. Unlike the standard Yaris, the GR Yaris is only available in the bespoke three-door hatchback bodywork and is built at the “GR Factory” assembly line in the Motomachi plant. We haven’t seen a proper rally homologation special since the 90’s so we at Hot Hatches along with most of the petrol head world were very excited when it was announced. Small, fast, fun, light, insane grip levels, rare, what’s not to like about it? And yes I know it has a Yaris badge but only the front half of the chassis is from a Yaris!

We normally steer away from modified cars but every now and then a special example is offered and this is one of them so we did not want to miss it.
